Use your fidget spinner to get some work done!

NEWS – Fidget spinners may be fun, but they are simply time wasters with no other purpose.  Not this Portable Fidget Spinner Tool from UncommonGoods, though.  This fidget spinner packs in six screwdriver bits, making it fun and useful.  The spinner has a 3.25″ Dia and is about 0.4″ thick.  It’s made of zinc alloy, magnets, and ceramic 608 ZZ bearings for smooth spinning.

It has a set of six CRV screwdriver bits: two straight screwdriver bits, two Phillips, and two Torx tips.  Magnets hold the bits in place, so they won’t go flying while you’re playing with the spinner.  The Portable Fidget Spinner Tool is $22.00 from UncommonGoods.

This book is a planetarium, a decoder ring, a speaker, a perpetual calendar …

NEWS – This book is a pop-up book like I’ve never seen before.  Instead of pop-up pictures to illustrate a story, these pop-ups are tools.  The title, This Book is a Planetarium: And Other Extraordinary Pop-Up Contraptions, gives you a clue to one of the tools.

There’s a page that pops up into a dome that can project star patterns onto your wall.  Another page provides a perpetual calendar, and another is a working speaker for your mobile device.

There are a total of six pages with gadgets.  The other three are: a decoder ring, a spiralgraph, and a “musical instrument that produces sound when something physical vibrates the air surrounding it – whether that object is a string, vocal chords, or a speaker.” This Book is a Planetarium: And Other Extraordinary Pop-Up Contraptions is $33.79 at Amazon.
