Lockbook secures your journal with your fingerprint

NEWS – Keep nosy people with prying eyes from sneaking a peek at your private thoughts by securing your journal with your fingerprint. The Lockbook from FPLife is a refillable notebook that has a built-in fingerprint scanner that keeps the cover of the notebook locked until you successfully scan your fingerprint.

Lockbooks are available in a selection of colors and styles. Inside the cover are slots and elastic straps to hold your papers and cards while the main part of the notebook holds 50 sheets of paper. Don’t worry though, the Lockbook is refillable with a variety of paper types (lined, blank, dotted, etc).

The only thing I’m concerned about is the scanner not being able to read my fingerprint… then what? Knowing my track record with fingerprint scanners, I’m sure that I’d be locked out of my journal within hours of setting it up.

You can find more info about the FPLife Lockbook and order one from Amazon starting at $69.99.

How to Fix Mac Error Code 43

There are plenty of reasons people use Macs. Some people want a friendly user interface on top of a Unix-based operating system. Others might use software or tools that only work with macOS. How Modern Video Compression Algorithms Actually Work

Modern video compression algorithms aren’t the same as the image compression algorithms you might be familiar with. The additional dimension and time means different mathematical and logical techniques are applied to the video file to reduce the size while maintaining video quality. In this post we’re using H.264 as the archetypal compression standard. While it’s no longer the newest video compression format, it still provides a sufficiently detailed example for explaining big-picture concepts about video compression. What Is Video Compression? Video compression algorithms look for spatial and temporal redundancies. By encoding redundant data a minimum number of times, file size can be reduced. Imagine,… Read more
