The LOOP Worldwide Adapter Plug will give you power wherever you go!

I love traveling to the Caribbean and especially South America, where I can get close to the Amazon and be surrounded by great photography opportunities. While I look forward to those trips, packing all of my gadgets and gear becomes a real chore. Since I simply must have every convenient gadget go along with me for the ride, I also have the tedious task of making sure that all of the relevant and appropriate AC chargers make the trip as well. And then it gets really complicated when I have to figure out if I have the right plugs for the countries I will be visiting.

If some of you are like me and deal with this challenge on your trips, then you will love the LOOP World Adapter Plug. This worldwide travel adapter charger is compatible in over 150 countries. It has built-in plugs for US, UK, EU, AU and CN, along with dual USB ports, and a universal AC socket with a built-in spare fuse. It also boasts intelligent charging that allows it to detect the device being charged, and adjust the power it provides to be efficient and fast charging. While the LOOP is a great solution, it is not a solution for all electronics, so it is not a good match for those power hungry devices such as hairdryers, or curling irons, or heat guns.

If the LOOP Worldwide Adapter Plug is a great fit for you as well, then head over to Amazon and pick one up for just $15.95.

Never find yourself in a hotel room without coat hangers again

It’s not the end of the world, but it can be a pain when you find yourself in a hotel room without any coat hangers to keep your clothes wrinkle-free.  You don’t want to have to iron an outfit every morning before you head off to a business meeting or head out to have some fun on vacation.  With a set of Neele travel hangers in your luggage, you’ll always have the hangers you need.

Neele travel hangers fold up compactly to fit into the small pockets of your luggage.  They fold open into two sizes: small (9.84’’ long x 5.12’” tall), for children’s clothing or smaller adult garments, and large (17.32’’ long x 6.69’’ tall )
for men’s clothing.  The hanger’s surface prevents garments from sliding off, and the ends are curved to protect the garment’s shape.  They are constructed of ABS plastic with stainless-steel screws.

A set of 10 Neele Portable Folding Clothes Hangers is $9.77 at Amazon.

Protect your luggage with AirBolt, the first Bluetooth-connected travel lock

With the AirBolt, you won’t need a key nor a combination to unlock your luggage.  AirBolt connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth, so you can lock or unlock it using an app.  You can also track your luggage, sound alarms when your bag is moved past a proximity boundary, or sound an alarm to help you find your bag when it’s hidden from view using the app on your Android or Apple phone.

AirBolt says of their lock:  “We are officially TSA accepted and we meet relevant legislative requirements for the AirBolt to be flight ready by their standards. The AirBolt also features a timed-Aeroplane mode that turns off the Bluetooth transmitter for a specified period of time.  Finally, we are also FCC and CE Certified.”

The travel lock has a rechargeable battery and is weather resistant.  You unlock it by pressing a button in the app, but you can also set a backup password to prevent someone from using your phone to unlock AirBolt without your permission.  If you make your destination but your luggage doesn’t, “crowdsourced” tracking can help you identify the last seen location of your bag – which could help you help the airline locate your bag.

All these features make the AirBolt a perfect travel lock, but its usefulness isn’t restricted to travel.  You can use the AirBolt to lock up anything you need protected.

The AirBolt travel lock is available in a variety of colors for $79.95 from AirBolt.

This travel pillow is a folding shelf for your chin

If you travel a lot and like to get a few extra z’s of shuteye while you’re on a plane, train, or automobile, you know how awkward and uncomfortable it can be. I usually end up getting a stiff neck from trying and failing to sit straight up in my chair. The ChinzUP is a specially designed travel pillow that claims to solve the stiff neck travel sleeping problem.

ChinzUP is a pillowless travel pillow that folds up for easy packing in your carry-on bag. When you’re ready for a nap, just pull it out, unfold it. Put it around your neck and under your chin and you will be good to go. The company describes the ChinzUP as an Aeron chair for your head.

If you’re interested, you can pre-order a ChinzUP travel “pillow” for $19.99 through their website at chinzup.com. It’s not clear from their site when this product will ship but I will update this post as soon as I find out.

Travel with these disposable sheets, and you’ll never worry about cleanliness again

I’m always a little wary of hotel cleanliness, even when staying in nice, clean hotels.  I do things like encase the TV remotes in ziplock baggies, and I throw the comforter in the corner as soon as I enter the room.  When I used to have to travel for business and had no control over where I was booked to stay, I was even bit wary of the sheets in some places.  Back in the day, I could have used some of these Beantown Bedding disposable sheet sets.

These Beantown laundry-free sheets can be used on a hotel, camp, or dorm bed, and they are sturdy enough that you can use them for days or weeks.  When you change the bed or move to your next travel destination, you simply throw away these biodegradable, compostable sheets.  They are made of 30% TENCEL / 70% lenzing viscose, and the bacteria-, mold-, and dust mite-resistant TENCEL makes them hypoallergenic.  The description says they are a natural white color and are “chemical-free, dye-free, odor-free” – but hey, we all know that even water is a chemical, so I assume they mean free of dangerous chemicals.

A set of two pillowcases is $9.95.  Sheet sets to fit cots, twin (regular or extra-long), full, queen, or king mattress start at $19.95; each set includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and one or two pillowcases.  Order a single set or set up an auto-delivery subscription of these laundry-free sheets at the Beantown Bedding website.
