Make bath time for your dog less ruff with Aquapaw

If you’re a dog owner, one thing you probably dread is giving your furry friend a bath. Whether using the cup method in the bathtub or using the high-pressure garden hose outside it’s never an easy task and unless your dog loves water (mine does not) it’s not usually fun for them either. Aquapaw to the rescue.

Aquapaw is a wearable sprayer slash scrubber that you can turn on or off just by making a fist, giving you a free hand to better control your dog while the other does the scrubbing and rinsing. It has little rubber scrubbers that are soothing to your dog and the spraying power is more gentle than that of a typical garden hose yet more effective than a cup bath. Keep your pet’s water fresh and pure with this fountain

My dog, Teddy, is picky.  He will only eat from certain bowls, and he likes fresh, cold, clean water in his water bowl at all times.  Sometimes he’ll refuse to drink his water because he sees something in it – usually his own hair from his constantly shedding body.  The Water Purifying Pet Fountain could take care of keeping his water hair-free for me.

This murphy bed has gone to the dogs!

Clipping your pet’s nails can be a peaceful experience with the Zen Clipper

Clipping my dog Teddy’s nails is such an ordeal that we usually just take him to the vet’s office when he needs a trim.  It’s expensive, but we need less styptic powder for Teddy and fewer bandages and antibiotic creams for us by letting someone else do it.  We’ve tried a couple of styles of clippers at home, but they always seem to crush the nails and leave rough edges, especially because of the fight to keep him from jerking his paw away from us after that first nail is clipped.  And we seem to always cut at least one nail too short, resulting in pain for Teddy and blood smeared everywhere.  The Safety Pet Nail Clipper from Zen Clipper promises to make trimming your pet’s nails easier and free of injury to the quick (the living tissue in the nail).

Bissell makes bathing your dog as easy as cleaning a carpet

The Bissell BarkBath machine looks like one of Bissell’s small spot-cleaning machines for rugs or upholstered furniture.  As a matter of fact, there is even a BarkBath accessory that can be added to some of your small Bissell machines for bathing your dog, but this BarkBath system is for people who don’t already own a small Bissell.

The BarkBath Portable Dog Bath & Grooming System consists of a Bissell base unit, a BarkBath unit, and Bissell rinse-free dog shampoo.  You’ll also receive a microfiber mat to place under the base unit, and a microfiber towel for washing faces and paws.  You add some shampoo to the BarkBath unit, then you use the dispensing nozzle to spray water through the fur down to your dog’s skin.  As the shampoo solution sprays out, there’s also a gentle vacuum pulling it back out through the fur.  The dirty water collects in one side of the base unit for easy disposal.  The BarkBath unit can be switched to spray either clear water or a water/shampoo solution.

Bissell says you can clean an 80 pound dog with about 40 ounces of water, where a traditional tub bath for the same dog can take up to 19 gallons.  Using the BarkBath system saves water, and it saves clean up of a messy, hairy tub.  It’s so clean, Bissell says you can clean your dog anywhere in your house without making a mess.
