Hisense 65″ H8 series 4K smart TV

If you haven’t heard of the Hisense brand of smart TVs, you should definitely check them out because they make a very nice (and a surprisingly affordable) 4K TV with some great smart TV features built right into the system.

For less than $900 ($849.99 from Best Buy), you get an LED TV with very thin bezels, 2160p 4K resolution, HDR, really deep blacks, rich color, edge-lit local dimming, built-in WiFi, 4 HDMI inputs, 3 USB inputs and more.

The Smart TV apps include Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Instant Video, and Vudu. So you can ditch a stand alone Roku device.

Read more about it on Hisense.com and order one for $849.99 from Best Buy.

Now you can make cool stuff for the Otterbox uniVERSE case

You know how the Moto smartphones have Moto Mods that snap on the back of the phones? Now you can get some of that same functionality for your iPhone with the uniVERSE Case System from Otterbox and you can even make your own mods.

The Otterbox uniVERSE case has a slot in the back that allows a variety of accessories to mount to the back of the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 7, and 7 Plus. Some accessories include backup batteries, speakers, wallets, extra memory, and more.

Otterbox has just released CAD files for the uniVERSE case system accessory mount so that makers can design and 3D print their own accessories.

“One of the core values at OtterBox is innovation, which is why we created the uniVERSE Case System,” said OtterBox CEO Jim Parke. “We’re inviting the community of innovators around the world to customize their mobile experience by designing their own accessories.”

To learn more about OtterBox uniVERSE and download the accessory mount CAD files, visit www.otterbox.com/universe-cad and you can shop for uniVERSE cases on Amazon.

This paracord bracelet hides a wicked blade

The Para-Claw bracelet from Outdoor Edge may look like a regular paracord bracelet, but the clip that secures the bracelet on your wrist holds a stainless steel 1.5” hawkbill blade.

To use the blade, just remove the Para-Claw bracelet from your wrist and use the bracelet as the knife handle. Grooves on the top edge of the blade provide a secure grip.

The Para-Claw comes in black or camo paracord styles and is priced at $19.95 – $39.95 depending on the size and style.  You can read more about the Para-Claw at outdooredge.com and order one from Amazon.
