There’s a lot of talk about going paperless because there’s so much work that gets done online. However, some things still need to be printed like reports, contracts, and other important documents or publications, so printers still have a place in the digital era. If you’re using a Mac computer, connecting the right printer may seem confusing at first, but it’s pretty straightforward. You can add or remove printers on your Mac whether you’re connecting from home or at the office. Windows 7’s End Is Near. How Are Businesses Faring?
On January 14, 2020, Windows 7 will reach the end of its supported life. While people can still run Windows 7 past this date, the operating system will receive no more updates or security fixes from Microsoft. This means that if any nasty bugs or exploits come to light after that date, people won’t be able to get an official fix for it. This has always been a problem for businesses that like to stick to the old, familiar operating systems. We saw it a long time ago when businesses refused to upgrade their Windows XP systems to Windows Vista. Windows 7, however, was a… Read more
Wyze just launched their next home security product
NEWS – I’ve been keeping an eye out for the next product from the makers of the Wyze Cam with hopes that it would be an outdoor version of their popular affordable security cameras. Well, today is the day that Wyze announced a new product, but it’s not what I thought it would be. Their latest product is Sense. It’s a sensor system consisting of contact sensors, PIR motion sensors and a bridge that links everything together.
The starter kit includes a bridge that plugs into the back of an existing Wyze Cam or Wyze Cam Pan, two contact sensors, and one motion sensor. The contact sensors are used to send an alert to you when a door, cabinet, window, or another thing and closes. The motion sensor is used to detect motion and can then trigger a camera on the system to record video so you can see who came in the house or into a room.
The Wyze Sense starter kit is priced at a very affordable $20 and will start shipping in May. If you’re already a Wyze Cam user, you can pre-order directly thru the app. You better hurry though, it’s only while supplies last. I just ordered two kits.

Cold Brew On Tap 2.0 makes made-by-you cold brew super easy
NEWS – Cold brew coffee on tap, yes, please! The Cold Brew On Tap 2.0 lets you brew a weeks worth (8 to 12 cups) of fresh cold brew coffee all at once. And it not only brews the coffee it also stores and serves it.
Less mess, less work
You make the coffee in the compact two-liter brewing jar using a drop in fine mesh filter. All you need is ground coffee, water, and patience (brewing time is at least 12 hours). Then you can store and serve it straight from the fridge.
The coffee will stay fresh for up to two weeks thanks to a rust-free lid that seals in all that cold brewed goodness.
An adjustable stainless steel spigot makes serving easy. The spigot even has a mesh filter built-in to keep any stray grinds from getting into your cup.
With summer coming up fresh cold brew coffee straight from the fridge sounds pretty good to me.
The Cold Brew On Tap 2.0 is $49.95 and available from The Grommet.
