JAXJOX’s KettlebellConnect is the kettlebell reimagined

NEWS – Smart workout devices are all the rage these days. JAXJOX has come up with a weightlifting tool that’s not only smart but also saves you time and space.

The KettlebellConnect is a kettlebell with 6 weighted plates inside. It allows you to go from 12 to 42 pounds (in 6-pound increments) in under 3 seconds. KettlebellConnect’s bullet stacking system features a rotating weight-selection core that locks in and out of weighted plates.

An LED display on the unit’s base lets you select the amount of weight you want to use.

The base also acts a charging station, and 1 charge will last up to 14 days.

There are 6 axis motion sensors inside the KettlebellConnect that track your every movement.

You can sync the KettlebellConnect to the JAXJOC app via Bluetooth. The app records your reps, sets, weight, power, and workout time. And it even lets you connect up to 9 different users to one KettlebellConnect.

The app also includes workout videos to take the guesswork out of your exercise.

The JAXJOX KettlebellConnect sells for $349 and is available now from the JAXJOX website.

White Tower XL 2 Liter Humidifier Diffuser review

REVIEW – With allergies being a challenge for everyone in my family, solutions like air purifiers and humidifiers are devices that are welcomed in our home. A few months ago I purchased a relatively expensive humidifier/diffuser for my kids’ bedroom and it works quite well, so I was very pleased and willing to accept the opportunity to test and review the white Tower XL 2 Liter Humidifier Diffuser. Here is my feedback.

What is it?

The White Tower XL 2-liter Humidifier Diffuser is an open-top humidifier and essential oil aromatherapy diffuser. It is built with white plastic to ensure no corrosion occurs and includes a well-designed air funnel that creates a nice mist flow. Its 2-liter tank allows you to use it continuously for an extended period of time.

What’s in the box

1 x White Tower XL 2 Liter Humidifier Diffuser
1 x Nozzle
1 x floater Tube
3 x Floaters
1 x Water Tank Cover
1 x User Guide
1 x Cleaning Brush
1 x Accessory Booklet

Design and features

Specifications
Power Input: DC 110-240V
Power Output: DC 12-36V
Water Capacity: 2000ml

On the front of the humidifier diffuser, there is a touch control pad that allows you to turn the device on or off, increase or decrease the mist flow and turn the LED night light on or of. It also controls the LED around the control pad.

On the inside of the water canister, there is a marked indicator to show the maximum allowed water level.

Once the nozzle and the floater and cap are assembled, that assembly is dropped into the humidifier. It can only fit one way.

The company also manufactures aromatherapy oils that are great and work well with the diffuser and I am assuming any other diffuser.

Performance

This humidifier diffuser works very well. Assembly is quick, straightforward and easy, and the water capacity allows it to provide the mist for up to 12 hours. The ability to add the oils makes it a really great diffuser as well. The first time I tried it, I used the Calming Sleep oil, and remarkably, I fell asleep quite quickly and much faster than usual. The next time I tried the Breathe Easy oil and it was a great experience for my sinuses. The ability to use the night light as desired is also great, and it is so sleek and silent that it just about disappears in my room.

Once you plug in the device, you have the ability to control the flow of the mist and the LED lighting:

    • Press the power button once for continuous mode and color-changing lights
    • Press the “+” button to increase the mist. (Mist lasts up to 6-8 hours)
    • Press the “-” button to decrease the mist. (Mist lasts up to 12 hours)
    • Press the “LED” button to turn the color changing LED light on/off.

The following is a video of the humidifier diffuser in action.

What I like

  • The sleek look
  • The double duty of humidifier and diffuser
  • The decent build quality
  • The price

What can be improved

  • Ability to remove the canister from the base and thus separate the electrical system
  • Added feature for remote control and/or app control

Final thoughts

This humidifier diffuser works very well and provides the necessary continuous mist for a relatively long time. I really like the ability to control the flow of the mist and the ambient lighting is quite attractive and a very effective night light. Other than a few minor areas for improvement either for convenience or ease of use, I have no problem recommending this device. I give it two thumbs up!!!!

Help wanted – I want you to join the Gadgeteer team!

NEWS – Would you like to become a regular writer on the Gadgeteer and write about interesting gadgets and cool gear? I currently have 2-3 volunteer positions that I need to fill. Interested? Details on how to apply are listed below.

Work expectations:

New team members will start out writing news posts for a couple weeks. News posts are short articles and consist of 1-2 images and a short paragraph with a minimum of 200 words. Check out our past news posts to see examples of the type of writing and topics we cover.

If you are picked to become a permanent member of the Gadgeteer team, you’ll have the opportunity to do product reviews. Team members who also write news posts on a regular basis will get preferred access review samples.

Compensation:

This is a non-paying position. Your “pay” will be the product samples that you’ll be able to keep once you’ve written a review.

I’m not looking for professional freelance writers or guest posters to write fluff pieces just for SEO purposes. I’m looking for everyday gadget nerds like me and the rest of the team, who just love this stuff and aren’t in it for the $’s.

Requirements:

1. You must have a firm grasp of the English language, the basic fundamentals of good grammar, and know the difference between “its” and “it’s” and “your” and “you’re”. I don’t have time to completely re-write your posts, so your writing skills will weigh heavily on my decision to choose new people for the team.

2. You must have above average photography skills and have the ability to take sharp, well-lighted close-ups of the products being reviewed. Dim, blurry images won’t cut it.

3. You must be able to stick to deadlines. Reviews must be submitted within 30 days after you receive the product sample. If you can’t stick to that deadline, then please don’t apply.

4. Age and gender do not matter, but you do need to be located here in the US because the PR agencies that I work with generally will not ship review samples outside the country due to shipping hassles and expense.

How to apply:

Send an email to me: julie@the-gadgeteer.com telling me a little about yourself, including your age, where you live, what you currently do for a living, what types of products that interest you the most and why you think you would be a good fit for The Gadgeteer. I’ll use this info to decide who I will ask to audition for a spot on the team by writing a sample review which will show me your writing and photography skills. I will then choose the best candidates to go through a trial period posting news. After that trial period ends, I’ll decide who will become permanent team members. I’m excited to hear from you! If you have any questions before sending me your bio email, post them in the comments.
